For many years as a career journalist, I have written interviews and reviews in and out of the performing arts scene. Almost every evening, and most weekends too, I am seated in the auditorium of theatres where plays, musicals, ballet, and dance are performed. I've also written articles on picture books in the Saturday edition of the Books. Before landing on theaters, I have covered religion, film, visual art, and OTT services. Among these, the time spent watching performances has, before I realized it, become the longest. The more the world becomes enamoured with the fleeting and the sensational, the more I try to believe in the power of long, deep narratives,.And in the very process of chemistry of arts and writing, I wish I could produce pieces of words that connect the theatre with its audience.
