Cancer-causing asbestos has been found in the soil at baseball park grounds. According to a test performed throughout the month, the toxic substance was found in soil collected from five ballparks nationwide, announced the Asian Citizen’s Center for Environment and Health and the work environment center of Seoul National University on the 26th. The five parks are Jamsil Stadium(Seoul), Sajik Stadium(Busan), Munhak Stadium(Incheon), and other ballparks in Guri and Suwon. The Asian Citizen’s Center for Environment and Health delivered the test results to the Ministry of environment and requested the ballparks eliminate the asbestos from the grounds immediately.
