Krystal

K-pop-star-turned-actress Krystal will attend the Cannes Film Festival next week with her latest film "Cobweb."

The festival runs from May 16 to 27, and "Cobweb" will be screened on May 25 in the Out of Competition section.

The former member of girl band f(x) will walk the red carpet alongside director Kim Jee-woon and her co-stars Song Kang-ho, Lim Soo-jung, Oh Jeong-se and Jeon Yeo-been.

Set in the 1970s, "Cobweb" is a black comedy about a director who becomes convinced that his film needs re-shooting. Krystal plays a rising starlet.

"I'm so happy and honored to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival that I have just dreamed of since I began my acting career," she said. "I will take it as a chance to learn more and improve myself as an actress."
