Samsung on Wednesday unveiled a bespoke edition of the foldable Galaxy Z Flip 3 phone that lets customers choose between 49 combinations of colors.

Customers can order the phone with their own choice of front and back colors on the Bespoke Studio page of the Samsung website from Thursday.

The edition is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. as well as Korea.

Samsung first tried the bespoke concept for its premium home appliances and sales were impressive.

The colors were picked by analyzing the preferences of the Galaxy Fold 3 and Flip 3 smartphones that hit stores in August.

Two colors -- black or silver -- are offered for frames, while the front and rear sides can be blue, yellow, pink, black or white. Blue and yellow are new.

Also on offer is a premium upgrade service where customers can keep changing the color combinations. A Samsung staffer said, "Lavender and cream were found to be more popular than black and white for the Galaxy Flip 3, which are popular among young people. We came up with the bespoke edition to satisfy the diverse tastes of our customers."
