The European Union's antitrust regulator has slapped heavy fines on global TV makers including Samsung and LG for price fixing.
The European Commission said that between 1996 and 2006 nearly a dozen companies making now-obsolete cathode ray tubes for TVs illegally fixed prices and restricted supply.
Dutch-based Philips got hit with the biggest fine of 313 million euros.
LG Electronics received a 295-million-euro penalty while Samsung SDI has been ordered to pay about 150 million euros.
