LG Uplus will start selling Samsung's Galaxy Tab tablet PC next week.

The Android 2.2-powered device is enjoying a major head start in the tablet PC market here as it is outselling its main rival, the Apple iPad.

Since its launch through SK Telecom in mid-November, the Galaxy Tab has been selling over 4,000 units a day, about four times more than KT's average daily new subscriptions for the iPad.

SK Telecom's subscription plan for Galaxy Tab users combines both data usage and voice calls, but LG Uplus plans to introduce additional options including a data-only plan with a charge of W1.8 per second for voice calls.
