GM Daewoo will halt sales of its Tosca mid-sized sedan and Winstorm SUV in Korea in order to introduce the Chevrolet brand here. Most of GM Daewoo's cars sold in the Korean market will be sold under the Chevrolet badge when the brand officially launches here in March next year.

According to a spokesperson on Thursday, GM Daewoo decided to release sequels to the Winstorm and Tosca as Chevrolets here in March and the second half of next year, respectively. The new Winstorm is being developed based on Chevrolet's Captiva SUV while Tosca's sequel is based on Chevrolet's Malibu mid-sized sedan.

GM Daewoo plans to unveil a total of seven new cars next year, including the Lacetti Premier hatchback.
