Microsoft on Wednesday unveiled the latest version of its operating system for cars, Windows Embedded Automotive 7, at the Society of Automotive Engineers Convergence in Detroit.
Combining communication and entertainment systems, the new OS offers improved speech commands, touch inputs and better Bluetooth phone connectivity.
Kia Motors will be among the first carmakers to adopt the new OS along with Ford of the U.S. and Japan's Nissan, with plans to introduce it in some models for the North American market.
