Girl band NewJeans topped the Billboard 200 albums chart with their second mini album “Get Up” last week, the U.S. music chart said Wednesday. The feat came just a year after their debut.

It took super boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, five years after their debut to top the chart and girl quartet Blackpink six.

The girls’ achievement was “mostly driven by CD sales of the album,” Billboard said. “Like many K-pop releases, the CD edition… was issued in collectible CD packages,” Billboard explained.

To boost sales, the album was released in multiple versions with different packaging, photos of randomly selected individual members and other merchandise.

The quintet already landed three songs from the album -- “Super Shy,” “ETA” and “Cool With You” -- on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at No. 48, No. 81 and No. 93 respectively, becoming the first K-pop girl band and the second K-pop act since BTS to make three entries at the same time.

Last week they also racked up over 2 billion combined streams on Spotify.
