Fireworks Displays Switched to Sundays

Seoul Metropolitan government announced Tuesday the 2002 International Fireworks Festival would continue its shows on Sundays, not Saturdays at Yeoido Citizens Park. The gala was supposed to be held every Saturday, but the local government cited concerns over serious traffic jams and security troubles raised by a flood of some 400,000 resident visiting the first show on May 25 as reasons for the rearrangement. The remaining shows will take place every Sunday in June.
