Subway and Commuter Train Operations Extended for World Cup

The government plans to extend the operating hours of subways and commuter trains on the eve and on the night of World Cup matches, according to Seoul metropolitan government, Monday, to promote convenience for spectators. Officials say subways and commuter trains connecting Seoul and its nearby cities of Incheon and Suwon will be running for two additional hours on May 30 and the 31st, June 4, the 5, 8 and 16, as well as June 24 and 25. Under the plan, the last trains will be departing from stations nearest to World Cup stadiums at 2:00am.
