Senior Journalists Criticize Rosamo

The Korea Journalists Club, representing senior and retired journalists, criticized Rosamo's comments on the media calling its proposed action a serious attack on the freedom of the press. It added that the organization's moves to try and cut the circulation of the Chosun Ilbo by 500,000 were an insult to the newspapers readers. Members said they wanted to question Millennium Democratic Party presidential candidate Roh Mu-hyun about his views with regard to the press in light of the comments made by his support group.
