Millennium Democratic Party presidential candidate Roh Mu-hyun said in a discussion with senior journalists at the Press Club, Tuesday, "maybe it's natural that the members of Rosamo, who support someone who is the daily brunt of malicious attacks," attack the Chosun Ilbo, in defending remarks made by his supporters organization. Roh said that he was in no position to comment, but other people's expressions were a personal matter.
Commenting on the barring of a Chosun Ilbo reporter from a Rosamo press conference, he said he would do no such thing if he enters Cheong Wa Dae and would not be appointing the groups chairman to a position there or any other important posts.
Roh said he would seek to limit the shares of ownership if he needed to and as long as owners didn't use reporters as their soldiers there would be no need to do so.
He noted that it was necessary to reform the MDP, not to change its name, and said he supported the USFK remaining in Korea, removing certain conditions mentioned previously.
